Come sail with us!

The Sailing Club is a New Jersey based organization that plans and runs bareboat sailing trips. We charter sailboats in great sailing areas worldwide, including the Chesapeake Bay, in New England, Florida, the Great Lakes, the San Juan Islands, Europe, the Caribbean, and the Mediterranean.

For most of our trips, our members are the skippers and crew. The Sailing Club self-certifies skippers and first mates through a rigorous evaluation process.

Whether you are already a sailor, have never been on a boat before, or are somewhere in between, The Sailing Club is a great place to make new friends, have fun doing it, and hone your skills!

Why Join?

While sailing is our “venue,” we attract people from many backgrounds, and interests, and locales. Some come for the sailing. Some come for the social opportunities. Some come to try something new. Some members arrive with considerable sailing experience, but many have none. Some members have been involved for many years. Some only joined last season. Some want to become accomplished sailors, while others are content just to crew. Some would prefer to never enter the galley. Some produce gourmet meals on board.

We welcome everyone and offer varied opportunities to all.

  • Participation is open to anyone interested in joining.

  • Sailing experience is not necessary, but sailing (cruising) is the main activity of our Club.

  • Annual membership fees are currently $40 for an individual or $50 for a household where all individuals reside at the same address. This fee helps to defray some of the Club's non-trip operating costs.

NOTE: You must be a Sailing Club member to participate in any Club event
