August 17 - 19, 2024
Conventional wisdom has always held that sailing in the Chesapeake during the summer is a fool’s errand. This year’s August trip emphatically contradicted that axiom. There were ample winds and moderate temperatures.

Long Passages, Warm Days, and a Fun Day on the Town
June 21 - 23, 2024
The summer solstice of 2024 on June 20, was the “early board” day of our Summer Sailstice cruise. Three crews of sailors met at Haven Harbour in Rock Hall, Maryland, to meet our boats and enjoy the long evening together.

Antigua
February 4 - 12, 2024
They say planning is the key to success. But life has taught me that a good raincoat and a goodnight’s sleep are far more important to deal with life’s surprises. Life is full of surprises. San Juan Islands Anacortes, Washington
September 9 - 17, 2023
Late September is often a good time to be sailing around the San Juan Islands of Washington State. In addition, the area is known for its rural landscapes, and even more well-known for its wildlife, especially orcas and harbor seals.

Erie Canal Adventure
August 7 - 14, 2023

Sailing Undiscovered Waters to the “Middle of Nowhere”
June 9 - 17, 2023
Anticipation abounded for this trip - one perhaps more typical for trips to more exotic places, as it is beyond anyone’s recollection as to the last time the Club visited Solomons Island. Indeed, the locals freely, and perhaps proudly, referred to this part of the Bay as “the Middle of Nowhere.”

On-Water Training
May 20 - 21, 2023
Each spring we invite all members to participate in a two-day training weekend. The program offers everyone a chance to practice steering under power and sail, docking, and anchoring.

U.S. Virgin Islands
January 28 - February 6, 2023
When we created the winter getaway float plan, we understood trip changes might need to be made due to winter swells, wind conditions and a myriad of other things. We researched several interesting bays along the St. John coast, as well as a few in St. Thomas. A wise person once said “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity." Well, this extra preparation definitely met some opportunities on this trip.
